I remember the first time I got my pup I was so overwhelmed with the amount of dog products and brand choices. After a year and a half, I finally have a handle of which products to look out for and which ones are healthy for dogs.
Dog Training Pouch

Before heading out the door, I make sure I take this bag. This training bag is multi-functional, it has so many pockets to put in treats, personal things, and there are little zippers on both sides for poop bags!
If you are looking to train your pup, I definitely recommend this training pouch since you can add in the treats in the pouch, and/or in the zipper at the front. I use the elastic mesh for my phone or ball to play with Toby. It’s also easy to grab treats for training while having a leash on your hand.
Bully Sticks

Instead of buying those white rawhide you see in the pet stores where they rip out the fur and add in chemicals to make the color white, I highly recommend getting Bully sticks.
As soon as I did my research I had to buy these bully sticks for my dog to chew on during his leisure time. Bully sticks improve dental health and have different kinds depending on the size of your dog! Toby chews these while watching outside the window, and it lasts quite a while for us.
Long Leash

If you see closely at the top of the blog, the three pictures shows Toby with his long leash. I LOVE these long leashes, it has been crucial for us while learning his recall. There are different lengths depending on your choice, I have 15ft nylon and it give him just the right amount of space to run around.
As you can see, I am not recommending a specific long leash, as there’s a multitude of them that are specific to different size dogs.
Dog Puzzle Feeder

When feeding your dog from a bowl, they start to eat fast and get bloated which can cause discomfort to them and begin vomiting becoming life threatening. Therefore to avoid that, dog puzzle feeders will force our pups to not only take their time eating, but also mental stimulation that will tire them out after.
There is a list of puzzle feeders you can buy from for your pup. You can challenge them by rotating some for even more mental enrichment!
Bocce’s Bakery Brand

It has taken me a while to find treats that don’t have a list of ingredients that make me question if it’s healthy for my pup to eat. With Bocce’s you look at the ingredients, and there is no confusion because you know exactly what it contains, and it’s usually less than four ingredients too.
Highly recommend any treat products from Bocce’s Bakery! Toby is small so he likes to go for the soft and chewy ones. But they also have different textures and flavors for your pup’s likes.
Native Pet Brand

Native Pet has been one one of the best brands I have come across just recently. It’s the only brand that doesn’t have a long list of chemical ingredients. These three products above are just some of the products I use from the brand and I have seen amazing results!
Calm Chew: I give my pup a calm chew every night and have used it for fourth of July to de-compress and lower his anxiety. It has worked wonders since after an hour he is already sleepy and calm.
Omega Oil: The omega oil has helped Toby with his skin and coat looking shiny and I know for some it has helped with itchy skin. I usually put in one or two pumps of the omega oil at every meal.
Probiotic: When Toby started having trouble with his stool, my vet recommended adding in probiotic in his meals. This might not sound real, but after I added in probiotic to his meals that’s when his stool started to look a lot better. So now I stand by this product all the way for his digestive and gut health.
The brand Native Pet has many other terrific products depending what you are looking for!
I do want to mention that as an amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. But this by no means that I am mentioning anything out of the blue. I have used all of these products for my dog, and would not suggest/recommend anything I haven’t bought. I just wamt to share with anyone looking for recommendations.
